Silent Survivors Stand
White House
Approximately 30 minutes after arriving to the White House there will be a Silent Survivors Stand for those who were cut against their will and wish to join in. We currently have 10 circumstraints for the SSS, and are striving to raise funds for 3 additional. If you have a circumstraint you'd like to donate toward this purpose, or sell to GIAW for a reasonable amount, please message the GIAW FB page or email ContactSavingOurSons(at)gmail.com The SSS is a powerful performance art piece that greatly moves those looking on. There are no spoken words or movement; survivors of genital cutting each hold a circumstraint above their head, and/or in front of their chest, dressed casually in normal attire, for a moment of silence in deep honor and authentic recognition. The Silent Survivors Stand began in 2011 when our beloved friend and fellow advocate, Van Lewis, left this earth, and his wife, Mary Alda, donated his educational circumstraint to Saving Our Sons. We have made attempts to add used circumstraints to the SSS in the years since, so that more survivors may participate during public events.
8:00 Dinner TBD
Saturday's dinner time and location is dependent on the march outcome and our time at the White House, and is therefore not determined until a post-march time. This announcement will be updated via Facebook, or you can message the GIAW Page.

who lose their lives to genital cutting each year.
This is a powerful and impacting display that draws the attention of all passerbys.
Children and parents are welcome to bring a onesie to decorate at the educational booths.
To include your onesie on the GA Clothesline,
or to donate toward this impacting event, send to:
